DESERT ACTIVIST ZOOM MEETING(S) FALL 2021

Sponsored by the Sierra Club Desert Committee and Basin and Range Watch

October 23, Saturday, 2pm - 4pm and October 30, Saturday 2pm - 4pm

It has been way too long since we (desert citizens) have gathered to share information, concerns, and plans.
Originally we (Craig Deutsche and Laura Cunningham) anticipated holding a single zoom meeting on October 23 for discussion of desert issues in California and Nevada. Very quickly, the number of topics to discuss became too long for a single meeting, and instead two meetings will be held on the dates shown above. The agendas for the two sessions are attached so that participants may choose to attend the first, the second, or both as they wish. When participants sign in, they will be muted initially until Laura Cunningham (host) has explained the procedures for the meeting. It is hoped that enough time has been allotted that questions and comments can be accepted for each topic.

We hope that these sessions will fill a need that has been neglected during the pandemic. If you have question about the procedures, you may contact Craig at: craig.deutsche@gmail.com

Uncertainty about the Covid pandemic makes it impossible to definitely schedule an in-person meeting of the Desert Committee. We hope that the situation will resolve so that the annual February meeting in 2022 in Shoshone can be held. We will carry this information in this space.
